 Sustainable Products policy

M2BS Ltd t/a Laser-Ex is an office products reseller and a member of the Office Friendly business community. We recognise the importance of operational and supply chain sustainability through our participation in the Weaver sustainability programme. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact, increasing the sustainability of our operations and complying with all relevant product legislation.

At Laser-Ex, the product impacts of our operations include generating waste from our products which may be recyclable or biodegradable or non-recyclable by customers. Some products sold have a higher recyclable proportion than others whilst other products may be fair trade of produced using materials from sustainable sources.

Martin Sawyer is responsible for ensuring that the sustainable products policy is implemented. However, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.

Sustainable products are a key pillar of operational and supply chain sustainability. To meet our goals in sustainable products, we will:

  • Offer more sustainable options to customers where possible
  • Endeavour to promote an increasing range of more sustainable products to our
  • Continue to promote paper with recycled content
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure we able to identify the the sustainable product options within their product range
  • Implement an Environmentally Preferable Purchasing protocol for products for re-sale
  • Include the sustainable product details on our website for a growing range of products
  • Use social media and marketing to promote our sustainable product range
  • Ensure that employees are aware of this policy and fully trained on sustainable products which are included in our EPP protocol
  • Ensure we are legally compliant with existing and future sustainable products legislation
  • Communicate our progress and achievements internally to staff and externally to customers and suppliers via social media our web store and marketing activity.

 An action plan will be communicated to our employees through use of our website, general communications and regular staff meetings. This sustainable products policy will be made available to all members of staff so they can see our commitments, initial actions and the subsequent results. A full review of this policy will take place on an annual basis.

We provide regular training to our staff to ensure that they are kept informed and included in our sustainable products activity. New staff receive sustainable products training as part of their induction.
